Configuration |
Documentation |
Load the “Enterprise Performance Management System Release 9.3.1 Start Here: Installation Documents and Readmes” CD, unzip the master file, navigate to the “English” folder, unzip file “eas_93100_install_doc.zip”, and open file “eas_windows_install.pdf”. The configuration instructions are contained in chapter two.
Configuration Process |
Start the Hyperion configuration utility as follows: “Start => All Programs => Hyperion => Foundation Services => Configuration Utility”.
When the Language Selection Screen appears, select the installation language from the drop down list, and press “OK”:

Now you have configured the Administration Services.
Where you’ve got to |
If you open up the MS Windows Services screen, “Start => Control Panel => Administrative Tools => Services”, you should find that the following additional service has been added, with a startup type of “Automatic”:
Hyperion S9 Administration Services ATS5
If you look under “Start => All Programs => Hyperion => Administration Services” you should find the following menu items:
Administration Services Information Map
Business Rules Information Map
Start Administration Services Console
Start Administration Services Server
Stop Administration Services Server
Start Administration Services Server (Tomcat 5 aas)
Stop Administration Services Server (Tomcat 5 aas)
The two “Information Map” menu items provide links to selected documentation (note, the Business Rules Information Map link is broken; an automatic search will find the correct target; when the pop-up window appears click on the “Fix it” button).
The “Start Administration Services Console” menu item starts the Administration Services Console, which is used to manage the Essbase server.
Ignore the last four “Start” and “Stop” menu items. As the Administration Services has been implemented as an MS Windows service, the Administration Server is started and stopped from the MS Windows Services screen, “Start => Control Panel => Administrative Tools => Services”.
